Courtney Collier, LADAC II, MBA, CPRS

Mental Health Intern

Courtney's overall goal is to provide exceptional therapeutic services to his clients and referral partners - in turn, breaking through the barriers and stigmas associated with deficient levels of service for mental health clients.  Courtney's values are to ensure all who encounter me feel a person centered treatment experience.

Courtney's educational accomplishments are completing an undergraduate Bachelor of Science in Organizational Leadership degree from Union University in Jackson, TN; a Master’s in Business Administration degree from Lindenwood University in St. Louis, MO; obtaining his Certified Peer Recovery Support (CPRS) certification from the Tennessee Department of Mental Health and Substance Abuse Services (TDMHSAS), and he is also a Level II Licensed Alcohol and Drug Abuse Counselor (LADAC) in the state of Tennessee. Courtney is completing the Masters of Clinical Mental Health Counseling program at Freed-Hardeman University and recently awarded the National Board for Certified Counselors (NBCC) 2023 Minority Fellowship in Addictions Counseling.

Courtney looks forward to helping underserved youth/adolescent, adult and LQBTQIA+ populations with an emphasis on Substance Use Disorders (SUD). Courtney utilizes a prescriptive and relational-cultural approach to SUD treatment, and his plans are to become a Board Certified Licensed Professional Counselor – Mental Health Service Provider (LPC-MHSP), National Certified Addiction Counselor, Level II (NCAC II) with dual licensure as a Licensed Alcohol and Drug Abuse Counselor, Level II (LADAC II).

Courtney spends his leisure time making artwork in a medium termed Diamond Art Painting. Crafting this genre of art has become a key part of his personal life and recovery, as he is able to create uniquely designed portraits which he feels are a direct connection with his God-given ability to create. He finds reward in seeing the awe and admiration on the face(s) of those who receive his artwork in addition to the enjoyment and pleasure of offering a unique gift.

Most who come in contact with Courtney experiences one or both of his catch phrases:
“GOD morning/afternoon/evening” and “I’m SUPER…., just like you!”
