Nicole is a Licensed Clinical Social Worker (LCSW) with 23+ years of experience in inpatient, academic, and private practice settings. Nicole grew up in West TN and received her Bachelor of Social Work (BSW) from Freed-Hardeman University (FHU) then went on to attend UT College of Social Work where she obtained her Masters of Science in Social Work (MSSW). Nicole worked at Parthenon Pavilion inpatient psychiatric hospital with Centennial Medical Center in Nashville, TN as a Social Worker for 5 years, before working as a Child Welfare Trainer for the State of TN through FHU, for 2 years. Nicole then became the Director of the University Counseling Center where she served for 11 years doing individual, family, and couples counseling as well as speaking in various classes and at various events on campus and in the community. Nicole was also an adjunct professor in the Masters of Counseling program as well as the undergraduate Social Work program at FHU for 7 years before taking a break from teaching to start her family. Nicole is married with two sons and enjoys spending time with family and friends, decorating, and traveling. Nicole and her family attend North Jackson Church of Christ where she is an active member, teaching various girls’ and ladies’ classes and serving on various committees.
